Nirvana – Sliver Cover with Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar HD

Sliver was recorded at Reciprocal juli 11, 1990. Tad was recording at Reciprocal and Nirvana recorded Sliver using Tad’s equipment (except from the guitars) during Tad’s lunch break. This was Kurt’s attempt on sending a signal out to the fans on what was comming from Nirvana. The change in direction musicially from the grungy heavy song on Bleach to the more poppy songs on Nevermind. Dan Peters played drums on the song and in an interwiev he said “it was written in a day and came togheter in an hour” It is a semi-autobiographical song about being deserted by your parents. The words were written by Kurt Cobain, and tell the story about a little boy left at his grandparents house and him screaming to go home. Kurt claimed it was not an autobiograpical song about his childhood, but his sister Linda insist it is.
